belledujournewyorkcity.blogspot.com
dara lives in nyc and she is a buyer who loves beauty and fashion. i love her style, its accessible but premium. she's also just a really nice girl who has her head screwed on and has recommended me some good books!

showmeyourwardrobe.blogspot.com
SMYW is Jackie Dixon, a photographer, who used to be a stylist and worked on various publications such as Vogue. I met her this year on a shoot and I love how her pictures are so natural and show London street style. And when someone is just so nice you like what they do 100% more, what an inspiration! You can also see her photos every month in Elle.

I also implore you check out my friend Bec's blog if you iz getting hitched she literally DOES the best weddings.... idothebestweddings.tumblr.com

And Melly of Mel&May... she knits shit! But its not shit. http://knickersandknitting.blogspot.com/

Sunday Service

As you most likely know, I've been doing a stall with my friend Mel the last few weeks... its like suuuper fun. It's really hard to get a stall in London, waiting lists and the lark, but luckily the Brick Lane Sunday Upmarket in the Truman Brewery has a Christmas and Vintage market at this time of the year so we can palm our wares onto the masses like the gypsies we are....

The atmosphere is brill, you can meet some really cool people, today was a bit of a rave up in our area. Generally our stall is a stop in for our chums on a Sunday and we do not jind mind at all as long as they bring us a cup of tea and a hug. Anyway here is couple of snaps from our day! Enjoy, and if you really do enjoy them, come and see us next Sunday. And enjoy with us.

P.S. Get following Mel's new blog, knittingandknickers.blogspot.com, it'll be up and running in the next few weeks.

you need a LBD

Salut ma petites belles

So- a quick post about a fantastic website, which I do wish I thought of myself to be honest.

The LBD is a site purely dedicated to what we all go after year after year... the little black dress. WHAT A FRRRRIPPING GENIUS IDEA

One of the founders is the lovely Jess Batten, who I just so happen to know from yonks ago when we worked together, and whose style I must say is rather banging.... in fact she is a one of the wonderful pics below.

At the moment they have 2 for 1 (whhhha! Amazing I know) on all dresses, so thats the Christmas party and Christmas dinner with Ma all wrapped up.

I'll be teaming my LBD with a fur stole for le parties or dressing down with a huge arran Cardi both from B&B. You know it makes sense.

belles and buckles was MIA

Good Morning Campers

So I've missing for quite a while, sorry to my 7 followers (note to all readers please FOLLOW as then I will feel the love). However I'm now back. The first thing I thought I would do is show where I've been.... one of the places was the Kate Spade pop-up shop party c/o the lovely Kate at http://allonetome.blogspot.com/ who is also the first and fabbest friend I made at University.

Kate Spade is super famous in the US (think Mulberry/Orla Keily mix) and her party on Henrietta street was super cute. I also spied fabulous fashion blogger Bip Ling http://www.bipling.com/ who's pony tail I currently have a huge crush on.

Anyway- no vintage here - but, it did inspire me to look to pur-chase some fabulous mittens. See below for some Kate Spade fun!

P.S. Stall coming soon. It actually is.

What I need right now 26.08.10

So, so many times I save pictures of things I love and potential purchases, so will turn this into a bi weekly fix of what I need RIGHT NOW.

Right now I need some more rings. In terms of vintage there are some awesome rings about. The best place I find is Spitalfields on a Thursday (me writing this has just made me realise it is a Thursday - cue Helen shouting b*ll*ocks very loudly in the workplace) but also Portabello and the tiny shops that are permanently there.

However if you need something on trend sometimes you just have to go new. I LOVE this ring by Monica Vinader. My stylist chum recommended the brand and I now am a tad obsessed.

How amazing!!!!!!

I'm obsessed.

What do you need right now?

From Paris to Putney

Hi Guapos y Guapas

How ya feeling? I'm feeling cool. I've got a super new (sort of) job and I'm getting excited because I'm going to start doing my stalls soon. Gah! I will be wrapping up warm and gracing the markets of Greenwich and Spitalfields so please come along and say hi!

Anyway, in the interim, to make the most of a) the gorgeous weather in Putney and b) my gorgeous friends Jenna and Aliya, I tested a load of my stuff a long with the wicked Ross Hardy taking the pics and Anna Blackshire doing the gorgeous make up. I have good friends!

So see below for the pics, let me know if you like them, and where I can improve!

Paris etc...

I went to Paris the other day and it was just LOVELY. The sites, the food, my friends... awesome. The shopping? Hmm, not so much. What I realised is how bloody brilliant London really is. With that in mind, today, I'm going shopping! Once Jeremy Kyle has finished. Of course.

I've been inspired by rather a lot recently, and I'm feeling the need to put it in a pictoral blog.. so here is what I am going to buy, and what will insire my purchases.... What are you going to buy for AW 2010?

H xx

Mulberry Neely
I might get this. Gah! My boyfriend would kill me. It's a bit expensive.

Fur and Feathers

I love Fur. Everyone has their different opinions, but for me, vintage fur is okay. I have a nice one in B&B which is only £60. Also feathers. Mmm. I have lots of peacock feathers. I like this skirt. I want one.

One shouldered things

Since Glastonbury I was super inspired by Florence and her stunning outfit which basically made her look like a super hot fairy and heightened my already huge girl crush. I wish I were Florence. *Sigh*

Mac Stereo Rose

This blusher caused a huge stir on beauty blogs and between bloggers on Twitter, and for good reason; its the best blusher I've ever tried. Wow. Everyone I have plonked it on has fallen in love with the gloden rosy shade- I think I'm on three purchases from my recomedation now, surely i should get something free from MAC?

Nude & Leather

Just an ace combo, need I say more. And can be translated in many of AW's trends. Take inspiration from this American Apparel Ad. Huzzah!

Michael Kors & High Heel Hikers

Biker boots. Mmm. Michael Kors. Mmmmmmmm. Mixed together thats one hot shoe cocktail. However its a cocktail that costs 1.3 grand. Oh well. Lets pray Topshop do a copy. I'm going to wear them with a Kahki ensemble as below. Let me know if you find any! Yum.

Paris Soiree

As all of you know I'm off to Paris next week. Berets! Cheese! Wine! Carrefour! Excellent.

If I'm perfectly honest its the only thing keeping my life interesting at the moment, that and my new found obsession with Fleetwood Mac.

Apart from squeezing in the Eiffel Tower around my trips to (the much more important) Carrefour, Sephora etc I've been given a wicked list of great vintage shops around gay Paris, and I can wait to get get my currently unmanicured hands all over them. Check out where I'll be visiting, and let me know if you have any recommendations! I'll report on my return!

testing testing be-yon-ce

so, with me getting my ebay site ready imminently, i have decided to rope in photographer and make up artist friends to do a fun b&b shoot. "huzzah!" i hear you shout. well; so you should when you see the wonderful theme i have for it.

i have a ridiculous you tube obsession as it is, but this next little treat has caught my eye and inspired me muchly and increased my current youtube usage by about 400%. "why don't you love me" is the next in the line of awesome releases from beyonce. i love this song. however, i love the video MORE. it is a mixture of the ridiculously good styling and beyonces great tushy that does it for me.

"Why Don't You Love Me" - Beyoncé from Beyoncé on Vimeo.

i LOVE this.

so see below for some inspirational pictures, and hopefully the results will be with you in a month or so! any suggestions?

and shout huzzah again please?! thank you.
